In which ventilation modes does KMV 5010 work?
KMV 5010 has five pressure modes and two volume modes. The pressure modes are CPAP ASB, PSV, aPCV, PCV and SIMVp; the volume modes are VCV and SIMVv.
How does volume targeting work on KMV 5010?
PSV, PCV and aPCV modes have a volume targeting feature. If the patient cannot reach the set target volume, KMV 5010 increases the pressure automatically.
The upper limit of the pressure increase is set between 3 and 10 cmH2O.

How long does the battery of KMV 5010 last?
The internal battery of KMV 5010 lasts 7 hours and the replaceable external battery lasts 15 hours. The durations are given at PEEP 5 cmH2O and IPAP 15 cmH2O settings.
KMV 5010 weighs 3.5 kg.
What data does KMV 5010 display and store?
The screen of KMV 5010 shows real-time pressure, flow and volume graphs. Pressure, respiratory rate and volume trend data is stored for up to one week.
The clinical menu and the patient menu are separate; the menu can be locked.
Which alarms does KMV 5010 give?
- High volume and low volume
- High respiratory rate and low respiratory rate
- High leak
- High Ti Max and low Ti Max
- High pressure difference
- Low battery
